Neve Michael Children's Village – An Overview

Neve Michael Children’s Village in Pardes Hana is a safe haven for 280 children at risk who have been removed from dysfunctional family environments due to physical/sexual/emotional abuse.

We take in boys and girls, ages 5-18 years old, from all over Israel, although chiefly from the periphery of the country. Our boys and girls are amongst the severest, most heart breaking cases of children at risk in the country.

Our mission is to give each and every boy and girl the childhood that they deserve.

Neve Michael provides all the services necessary for children at risk under one roof. We see to their physical and mental needs: proper nutrition, education, and therapeutic care to heal their emotional scars.

Neve Michael was founded in the 1940s and has been building its reputation for providing care and education for children/youth at risk ever since.

Neve Michael Children’s Home is the only multi-disciplinary children’s home in Israel with so many vital services in one place: a 24/7 Children’s Emergency Crisis Center; the first and only Teenage Girls’ Crisis Center in Israel (since 2009); Family Homes where 12 children live as a family (with parents and their birth children) that provides them with positive role models who demonstrate love, warmth, support and the stability which was lacking in their young lives; a School for Special Education on the premises, K-7; Day Care facilities that serve disadvantaged children in the area until 7:00pm, five days a week; a Therapy and Tutorial Enrichment Center tailored to meet the individual needs of over 280 children; an External Crisis Center and Therapy Counseling Unit for families at risk, servicing over 100 families in the area from Pardes Hana to Haifa, which attempts to keep families intact, even under the most trying circumstances.
